The Papa Bear Chair, also known as the Teddy Bear Chair, was designed by Hans Wegner in 1951. The chair is named for its large, welcoming form, which is reminiscent of a bear's embrace. The Papa Bear Chair is characterized by its curved backrest, which extends up and around the sides of the chair to create armrests that are both comfortable and supportive. The chair's seat is also curved and angled slightly downward, creating a comfortable and relaxed sitting position.
